This piece is all about respecting the Earth. I was inspired to paint it when I saw a Red Bull can laying on the ground, amidst my beautiful surrounds. Where I live is mostly untouched by humans, it is a small community, and the natural world here is stunning. It made me think... it is nearly impossible for us not to consume, that is true. But it is within our power to do what we can, to reduce our negative impact on our Earth. We have limited time here, and we will have even less if we don't take care of the planet that gives us so much. Human civilisation can be incredibly ugly, but it can also be enchanting, as long as it is evenly balanced with our natural world. If we give to mother nature, she will give to us. I wanted to use this array of cans, and the colours, to showcase the beauty of human creation, and how when balanced with nature, it is pure magic. This piece is a reminder that we are here, on this land, on borrowed time 🌏
Please allow up to 3 weeks for shipping - oil paint takes quite a while to fully cure, and different colours dry at different rates. It is necessary the paint is dry before I ship it, but I will keep you up to date on a dispatch ETA.
As this painting has been painted on stretched linen, I will detach it from the stretcher bars, carefully roll it, and place it into a shipping tube. This greatly reduces risk during shipping, because reduced surface area means less chance of rips, punctures and warping. It is also more secure than a box. When you receive it, just take the package to a framing shop, and they can re-stretch it for you. They can also add a frame if you want one!
