I came up with the idea for this piece after separating from my long-term partner. My heart felt shattered, but underneath the fear and pain were these glimmers of hope and a feeling of freedom. I didn't see it coming but suddenly my life had endless possibilities. I felt lighter because of this. The butterflies signify the beauty of freedom, and of course, my heart is the disco ball 🦋🪩
